 Repeaters and Nets
Repeaters

The repeaters used by the AESG are those available to members of the Arizona GMRS Repeater Club.  This includes many repeaters in Arizona.  Our primary repeater is located high atop White Tank mountain west of Phoenix at an elevation of about 3,800 feet.  It provides very good coverage of Maricopa County and also has emergency power.

We appreciate our members and other licensed operators that allow us to utilize their repeaters.  See the full list below.  The receive (RX) and transmit (TX) frequencies, as well as the channels, in the table below are in the configuration for mobile and portable radios.  All AGRC and AESG members have access to the tones for each repeater.  Select repeaters may be controlled remotely or linked in the future.   In emergency situations, some repeaters may be changed to open status and the 141.3 Hz tone used.  A repeater with an asterisk (*) indicates some functions are not available.  Two asterisks (**) indicate it is down and not operating.  Repeaters with an (E) have emergency power.  (AL) means the repeater is part of the AGRC linked repeater system.  The AGRC linked repeaters cover most of Maricopa County with the White Tank Mt., Scottsdale and Mesa repeaters.  There is also a repeater in Flagstaff.

Special Note:  The repeaters with an (AL) designation are no longer linked at this time.

Nets and Alert Signals

Our weekly AESG Net is on the White Tank repeater each Tuesday evening at 8:00 p.m.  The frequency of the White Tank  repeater is 462.550 MHz, with the member tone or a CTCSS tone of 141.3 Hz.   All licensed GMRS operators are invited to check in.

Nets may be used for events, exercises or AESG activations.  Normally, these type nets are on the AGRC repeaters.  In some cases, simplex frequencies may also be in use.

The long tone may be used for bulletins and notification of critical information, such as weather warnings, evacuations or hazardous conditions.   The dual tone alert will be used only for an AESG activation.  Unplanned tests and exercises may occur at any time.

GMRS National Calling and Assistance Frequency

We encourage all licensed operators to use and monitor the national calling and emergency assistance frequency of 462.675 MHz.  It may be used either in simplex (narrow band) or repeater mode with the 141.3 Hz tone.  On most channelized GMRS / FRS radios, it is channel 20/tone 22.  This is very useful when traveling or when in need of assistance.  Put it in your scan list.   The calling and assistance frequency is primarily for calling and making contact, motorist assistance, or emergencies.  Longer conversations should be moved to another channel.  Local repeater use may vary.
